We use several of the ShoreFit 300 covers at our marine repair business to protect customer's pontoon boats while they're in our yard awaiting service. Customers seem to appreciate a clean boat when they return. Our boatyard is pretty dusty in the summer and these covers keep out a lot of the dust and are exposed to the sun all day. They seem to hold up okay in such an environment.
Price was our main concern for our pontoon boat cover. After shopping around both online and locally, this was the cheapest cover with the same specs. Upon receiving the cover, we were pleased to find that it actually does protect our boat just fine and is of above average quality. We feel like it was a good deal for the money.
We use this cover for only light duty protection, mainly keeping bird droppings off of our pontoon boat which is stored under a covered dock. The cover is made of a nice looking, and feeling lightweight marine canvas that serves its purpose. Not sure about any other uses, though, such as trailering my boat down the highway at 70 mph, however. But for stationary storage, the cover is very nice.
I store my Harris pontoon in my barn, and the dust was really causing a mess. Trying to clean barn dust out of the crevices in my boat was not a fun task. This cover does not fit like a glove, but not bad. But it does do a good job of keeping my pontoon clean.
I purchased this cover at the request of my husband, and he has been very pleased with the fit and finish of the cover. It fits our boat and he says it is one of the best covers he's owned. Thank you for such a seamless experience.
Our vinyl seats were fading and cracking in the intense sun, so we just wanted basic protection to keep them out of the sun when we were not using our boat. For that purpose this cover is great.
While not top of the line, the cover works and actually fits. Have had a rough time finding an inexpensive cover locally that fits my boat. Looks like that search has ended and I've got a cover that'll do. Thanks for your help.
We keep our SunTracker fishing pontoon at the lake, and wanted to protect it from weather and sun damage, so we needed an inexpensive cover to put over it. No need to trailer it, so I dont know how this cover would stand up in that regard. It does its purpose, and I am pleased with it.
This is the best cover company on the internet. I have called and talked to SEVERAL of the companies and yours was the most knowledgeable and friendly. Some of the other companies did not know any details of their products. Easy choice to make.
After shopping around several sites, this Shorefit cover seemed like the best option both as far as performance and value. I'm not sure how you all offer such a great cover at such a low price. Thanks for keeping the cash in my wallet for other boating accessories.
We bought this cover for our Lowe pontoon boat that we store outdoors. Like most folks, we don't have room in our garage for such a big boat, but this cover has done a pretty good job of keeping out the weather. I have had no problem installing the cover by myself.

The front, or bow end, of the cover is marked by a tag, pattern number, or logo. Begin installing your cover by placing the bow end of the cover on the bow end of your pontoon boat, then unroll the cover towards the stern (rear). Once you have done this, ensure you have secured the front of the cover to the bow of the boat, and then work towards the stern by unfolding the cover along the sides. Once the bow and the sides have been unrolled and secured, then secure the stern area of the cover around the boat's stern. Pay attention to any sharp areas on your pontoon boat that may come into contact with your cover. If your cover does not have reinforcements sewn into the cover, we recommend using cloth-reinforced duct tape or vinyl tape on the inside of the cover at areas exposed to severe abrasion. This will help extend the life of your cover.
Only covers specified as "trailerable" should be used while traveling over 25 mph. Incorrectly using a cover not specified for travel may void any warranty. When trailering, be sure that the cover is tight and secured with a strapping system, and that there are no loose areas able to flap in the wind. We suggest stopping to double-check your cover after driving a short distance and adjusting the cover as necessary. To help prevent water from pooling on your pontoon cover, and to keep it snug and tight when trailering, we recommend using two or three boat cover support poles.
Use the following procedure to remove the cover:
- Ensure the cover is dry and free of debris to prevent mold or mildew
- Release both ends of the cover from the front and rear of the pontoon boat
- Fold the cover to the center of the boat from both sides into a strip approximately 2 feet wide
- Roll the cover from front to rear, or vice versa
Cleaning & Care
The performance of your cover can be affected by contaminant (dirt, dust, etc.) build-up. Washing your pontoon cover correctly will help it maintain its water resistant properties and also increase the service life of your cover. Use the following procedure to clean your pontoon boat cover:
- Use a soft bristle brush to wipe away any loose dirt and spray with a water hose
- Mix one ounce (1oz) of Simple Green cleaner, or similar non-toxic formula, per quart of warm water
- Spray or sponge the mixture onto the cover
- Allow the cleaning mixture to soak into the fabric for up to 15 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with plain water until there are no suds on the cover
- Air dry the cover, DO NOT place the cover in a dryer
